SHIP RAISED FROM RIVER
BOTTOM
VANCOUVER, Dec. 16. After working diligently for the past summer, workmen have been rewarded by raising the Nancy, a frigate which carried the Dritish flag during the war of 1812. The Nancy had formed an island! in the Notawasaga River, through the 115 years she remained below the surface of the river, after her British crew had scuttled her to save her from falling into the hands of the United States ships with which she had been in battle. It is intended to retain her, as an historic ielic, near the spot where she was scuttled.
