CLUB COMPETITIONS. A progressive pairs bowing tournament at the Park green, Hawera., yesterday was won by Chadwick with an aggregate of 83, while Barnett made 61. Wigley (Vogeltown) bent Honeyfield (West End) in the semi-final., and is to p]ay-off in the final to-day with (West End). In the sections the leaders were Boulton. Chittenden. Wigley, Johnston. Lovell and Newell. In the plav-off Newell beat T/Ovell. Honerfield heat Chittenden. Wigley heat Johnston. Much interest is being taken in the final.

WANGANUI TOURNAMENT ENDS

The annual Christmas tournament held under the auspices of the Wanganui Bowling Centre was finalised on Saturday at the St. John’s Club’s green. After an interesting day’s play the tournnment winners proved to be from the Wamranui East Club —E. Hutchins, J. Carvell, J. E. Beckett. E. Scrivener.

The scores in the final match were: Scrivener (Wanganui East) 22 v. Armstrong (St. John’s) 8. A Ncav Pla'mouth team, with Smart as skip, reached the third play-off.
