ATHLETICS.
VISITING TEAMS ARRIVE. (BY TELEGRAPH—PREB9 ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON. Dec. 20. The New South Wales and Victorian teams for the athletic championships arrived by the Alarama from Sydney to-day, together with officials of the Amateur Athletic Union of Australia and New Zealand, delegates to the biennial conference of the Board of Control, and a number of other enthusiasts. With the Queensland repre--sentative-s they make the biggest and strongest party of athletes that has ever left Australia for competition in another country. Accompanying them are Air. Coombes, president of the Athletic Union of Australia and New Zealand, and Air. Afark-s, ALL.A., the honorary secretary.
