TOURNAAIENT AT -MASTERTON

The Wairarapa Lawn Tennis Association’s annual tournament was almost completed to-day, four championship and five handicap matches only remaining to be played. Following arc the results- of the completed events: — Men’s -Singles—E., D. Andrews (Palmerston North) beat C. E. Malfroy (Wellington) G—4, G —3. -Ladies’ Singles—Airs W. J. Alelody (Wellington) beat Aliss AI. Lowry (Napier), G—o, G—l. Men’s Doubles —E. D. Andrews and 0. E. Malfroy beat E. AI. Ilodder and N. Miller (Alasfcrton), S —G, G —4.
The final of the ladies’ doubles is to be played to-morrow between Airs Alelody and Aliss Short and the Misses Alver and Calver (Wanganui).
The semi-finals and final of the mixed doubles remain to be played.
