IRON DEPOSITS.
❖ RICH DISCOVERY IN ITALY. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received 2.30 p.m. to-day. ROAIE, Jan. 23. A deposit of iron ore has been discovered at Tamuura Pass, in the central Appenines. It is declared to contain 68 per cent, of met ah compared with forty per cent, in other European mines. It is hoped" that the daily output will be three hundred tons of pure metal, enabling Italy to discard imports or iron.
