FIREMAN KILLED.
THREE OTHERS INJURED. WHTLE ANSWERING FALSE ALARM. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received 1.35 p.m. to-day. MELBOURNE, Jan. 24. While speeding to answer a false alarm, a tire hose cart which swerved to avoid a collision with a motor-car, crashed into the side of the road. A fireman named James Has sack was killed and three other firemen were mjmed.
