SWALLOWED BIG SPOONS.
A FORGER’S TRICK. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION -I oPYRIGHI BERLIN, Jan. 23. The forger, Adolf Moritz, has many times obtained his release from gaol as the result of swallowing spoons, in preference to hunger-striking. . The authorities thought to thwart him by providing giant -spoons with specially long handles. Moritz again became ill and four spoons were missing. An x-ray examination showed that he had swallowed the handles. The authorities performed an operation, after which Moritz was charged with stealing prison property.
