Seceived 10.50 a.m. to-day. SYDNEY, Sept, 16. Mr Loughlin retained the- deputyleadership of the Parliamentary Labour Party, as the. rbsult of the- caucus meet- . Mr. Lang has resigned from the directorate of the Labour Daily, the official organ of the party, and has been replaced by Mr. Mutch, Minister of Education. .. The caucus elected M r - Conned, nominee of the Loughlin faction, ehnnjjjan of the party in place- of Mr. Gosling, Mr. Lang’s nominee. T Mr. Garden, who for many years has been leader of the Communist Party, lias resigned from that party and is seeking re-admission to the Australian Labour Party, from which lie was expelled some years ago, owing to his associations with Communists.
