MOTOR MISHAP
SIX PERSONS INJURED. (UY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOOIA CION.) AUCKLAND, Jan. 23. Just before midnight a seven-seater motor-ear travelling to Auckland, when turning the comer at Papakuna, skidded and crashed into a telegraph post and was badly wrecked. 'Six injured passengers were conveyed to the Auckland Hospital. v Harry Booth, aged 38, received injuries to his head and his condition is serious. Richard O’Shea, aged 27, sustained a compound fracture of the tibia and general abrasions. Mrs. Bertha. Mercer, aged 30, received head injuries and facial abrasions. She is improving. Mrs. Mva Robinson, aged 28, sustained cuts on the face, necessitating the stitches being inserted. The driver, T .Mercer, sustained a slight cut over the eye. The mishap was caused fey the bursting of a rear tyre.
