Uorty persons were either killed* or seriously injured by an explosion In a munitions works. It was caused by the short circuit of an electric wire. Sparks fell in the explosives room, where men and women were employed. The dresses of thirty women were set afire. They rushed about terrorstricken, resembling living torches. Many jumped from windows, breaking their arms and legs in their falls. Employees in other parts of the factory also became panicstricken. —Times.
