Received July 23, 1.40 p.m. LONDON, July 22. The Navy, in the first innings, made 119. Gore took 8 for 46. In the second innings it made 136. Cook took 4 for 39. The Army, in its first innings, made 374 for 7 wickets (declared). Top scorers were Williams 106, Bryan 62, Hudson 110. Army won by an innings and 119 runs.

Midd'esex, in their first innings, made 410. Hearne made 78, Bruce 59, Hendren 118. Watson took 4 for 99. The second innings produced 265 for 7 wickets (declared). Haig scored 67. Lancashire, in its first .innings, scored 238, Barnes making 84. Haig took 6 wickets for 70 runs. Lancashire’s second innings produced 222 (Makepeace 74, Watson 82). Hearne took 6 wickets for 66 runs. Middlesex won by three wickets. Kent, in their first innings, made 281 (Johnstone 60, Woolley 78 Hubble 54. Fender took four for 100 an.d Shepherd five for 80. The second innings produced 197 (Hai-binge 74). Fender took 5 for 63 and Fenley 5 for 72. Surrey, in their first innings, made 547 for 5 wickets, declared. (Hobbs 105, Sandham 88, Shepherd not out 207). Surrey won by an innings and five wickets.

Yorkshire, in the first innings, made 386 (Oldroyd 54, Ki.lner 90, Rhodes 57, Robinson not out 58). Richmond took 4 for 87. The second innings produced 152 for 4 wickets, declared (Sutcliffe 50). Notts, in their first innings, made 312 (Carr 53, Why s all 81. Walker 84.) Rhodes took 4 wickets for 60 runs. In the second innings Notts made 103 for 9 wickets. Haddington took 4 for 59. Yorkshire won on the first innings. Playing for Warwickshire against Sussex, Bates made JO4, and for Sussex Tate took 6 wickets for 69 runs, and Cox 6 for 46. Sussex won. For Essex against Hampshire Russell made 149, Essex won. For Worcester against Glamorgan, Root took 5 for 57 in the first innings, and 7 for 67 in the second. For Glamorgan, Ryan took 5 for 64 in the first and 5 for 72 in the second innings. Worcester won. For Derby against Somerset, Lee made 113, and Jackson 105. Derby won.—Reuter.
