DEATH OF OLD WOMAN.
YOUNG MAX CHARGED WTTH MURDER. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION--COPYRIGHT. Received Julv 23. 10.45 a.m. SYDNEY, July 23. Alexander Clarence Thomas has been arrested in connection with the death of Bridget Enright. He was charged with murder and wa s remanded. Thomas was .living under the name of Maxwell. It is alleged that he uttered false cheques, and he was arrested for that reason. Search revealed that ho was Thomas. A Melbourne message sent on September 9, 1924, stated that the body of Miss Bridget Enwright, aged 69. who had been missing from her home near Ben al 1 a since July 27, was found oartially burned in circumstances indicating foul play. Misc Enwright lived alone on her farm. The last time she was seen she was talking to a young man near her home, which whan, examined bore evidence of having been robbed, though there were no signs of a struggle. Search parties had been out since her disappearance. Her body was discovered 'a short distance from the house.
