STILL SIMMERING.
FUSION NEGOTIATIONS. (BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, July 13. Political fusion negotiations are still simmering. There have been several meetings between leaders during the week-end, but negotiations have not yet reached finality. Unless the unforeseen happens, the Liberal Party will meet in caucus to-night, and it is confidently expected, that this week will see matters settled one way or the other, but no official announcement is likely to be made as to whether fusion is on or off until it can be done on the floor of the House.
