Pirn VIS—EVANS. A wedding of considerable interest was solemnised ah the Methodist Church. Manaia. on Wednesday, April 22, 1925, when Ada Mary, only daughter of Air and Mi 6E. C. Evans, of Auroa. was married to Joseph, youngest son of the late Air and Airs Purvis, of Alosgiel.. The Rev. Air Roberts officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore an effective dress of white satin glorie, with long georgette sleeves, and caught at the side with a brilliant buckle. She also wore a lieautiful hand embroidered veil and orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums, double white daisies and maidenhair fern. The hi ide was attended by Mies Mav Eustace, of Dunedin (niece of the bridegroom), as chief bridesmaid, who wore a dainty cream silk morocain frock trimmed with pale pink swansdown. and cream satin hat with wreath- of oale pink sweet peas. She carried a bouquet of pale pink and white flowers with maidenhair fern. ■ As second bridesmaid M ; ss Olive Barlow, cousin of the bride, looked very dainty in a. pale blue eharmeuse frock, accordeon pleated skirt trimmed with heads, and brilliant buckle at one side, with Imt- to match. Her bouquet was of pale hire and white flowers and fern.

Mr AY. Evans, brother of the bride was best man. and Mr J. Eustace nophe-v of the bridegroom, groomsman Air Pickering presided at the organ.
