A crowded hall greeted members'of the Scottish Society who journeyed to Ohanoai on Wednesday the purpose of giving a concert in aid of the Ohangai School library funds, the evening was cob! hut fine, so father, mother and all the children down to baby in a half dres s basket were able to mount the family coach and make the journev to the hall. The scholars of the school, to show their appreciation, turned out in full force and vigorously applauded the various performers. Unhappily, owing to the late talceup of the school, they were not- able, as they were last year, to give any iteni o themselves. With a Government subsidy, the school library will, with the proceeds of the evening, he nicely augmented, and it will now he possible to procure several encyclopaedias and travel books that Mrs Songster and her committee have desired for some time.
