ICE CONDITIONS BAD.
AMUNDSEN DELAYS POLARi DASH BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. LONDON,. May 10. The explorer, Captain Roald Amundsen, whose North Pole expedition has progressed to' tire point from which .the final dash to the Pole by aeroplane is bo be made, has sent a wireless message from King’s Bay, stating that a. winter of intense cold prevails and the ice conditions are bad. It has therefore been decided to postpnoe the flight until later in May or the beginning of June.
