PLUNKET SOCIETY.
THE RATEA BRANCH. The usual monthly meeting of the Patea Rlunket Society was held in MiSheild’s office on Friday, Mesdames Sheild (chair), R. \\\ Hamertou, Semple, Tait, Ij. Adams, C. C'aie\’ and Moss being present. The nurse’s report for .June and July was read, which showed an increase in the number of visits to the rooms. Nurse Wilson stated that she was not quite sure as to when Nurse Hendrys will be relieving. Mrs Sheild moved a vote of sympathy with Mrs Mcßae in her illness.- — The motion was carried unanimously, one and ail hoping that Mrs Mcßae would soon be restored to good health. The committee were sorry to lose Mrs Whiteford, through her leaving the district, and wished her every success in her new surroundings. A subscription was received from Mrs R. W. Hamertou, and a donation o-f 10s from Mrs Tarrant (Kakaramea). The meeting then adjourned.
