POLICE SUSPICIONS ABOUT DEATH OF CHRISTCHURCH MAN

P.A. CHRISTCHURCH, Oct 10. detectives ana members of the uniformed police, under the direction of Inspector in charge of the Detective Branch, Inspector T. E. Holmes, were seen today digging in the garuen of the home of leslie James Graham, who died, suddenly, at his residence at Harbour Road imodxlands, ,on September 19.

When inquiries were made from the ponce, it was stated that there was nothing for publication at present.

Graham a Government messenger, was stated to have been ill for about a week before he died at about 8 p.m. on September 19. He was a married man with a family of eight. On Sep-, tember 20, an inquest was opened at Christchurch Public Hospital, before coroner Raymond Ferner, and was adjourned sine die, after evidence of identification had been given. A postmortem examination was ordered oy the coroner.

Detectives and constable J. Thompson from Belfast, went to Grahams home' on Saturday to make inquiries. The visit to Grahams home today in which a motor truck was useed, was a continuation of these inquiries.
