WELLINGTON, Aug. 19. The House of Representatives passed the Transport Bill and the Physip-Therapy Bill. In the former the Statutes Revision Committee made an amendment to a clause relating to the heaiing and detei'mination of an appeal .by the Licensing Appeal Authority. The amendment, which was approved. states that the Licensing Anneal Authority, in determining any nmral, shall not be bound to_ hear any person or to take any evidence or’ to receive any representations from any person, ’ provided that .<h c -- there is no formal hearing of an anneal the Licensing Authority shall receive any written representations made by a person entitled to anneal under the anpropriate section of the Act. Opposition members registered protests against the amendment.
