(Oui* Own Correspondent). Mr J. Shivas, of Greymouth, is at present in this district. The tourist invasion of South Westland continues, although the weather has been overcast with occasional heavy rain. Road Service lorries are ■ taking forward many trucks of fat lambs to the freezing works and Addington markets.
Mrs J. Commons, who has been a patient at Westland Hospital has been discharged much improved in health.
Mr J. C. O’Connor who has been an in-patient of Westland Hospital, has now been discharged much improved in health. Mr T. Rodgers, of Okarito, has returned from Christchurch.
Mrs Geoffrey Friend and her son have returned to Okarito after a visit to Dunedin.
Mr Don Murray left on Monday on return to Christchurch. He was accompanied by Miss M. Vincent. Mr McDonald, who has purchased a farm at Te Taho has found that erosion has taken almost half of his property. Mr L. Arnold visited Greymouth this week.
