FEW IMMIGRANTS RETURN HOME
WELLINGTON, February 24.
The Department of Labour and Employment has announced that of 2928 Government-assisted immigrants since the inauguration of the scheme, only 37—barely, 1.3 per cent.—have been released from their contracts, to return to Britain. Twenty-eight have been released for domestic oi’ compassionate reasons, four being unsuitable, and only five have returned to Britain because they were dissatisfied.
