MANY VISITORS FOR MASONIC GATHERING

About 200 delegates, with 80 wives, who ar e attending the annual convocation of the Royal Arch Chapter of the Masonic Lodge of New Zealand, are at present in Greymouth for the convocation, which opens to-day and extends over the next two days. The visitors have been accomodated in both Greymouth and Hokitika, and in each town hotel accommodation is fully booked. They are to be given a civic reception by the Mayor, Mr F. F. Boustridge. To-day a business meeting will be held at St. John’s Hall at. 10 a.m., and at 7.30 p.m. officers will be installed, this function being followed by a banquet. For the wives of members, the morning is free and a tourist drive is planned for the afternoon, followed by afternoon tea. In the evening they attend a picture party at the Regent Theatre, followed by supper at Revington’s Lounge. Tn-morrow all visitors will take part in an excursion to Lake Kaniere. leaving at 9.45 a.m. and lunching at the lake. In the evening a Masonic ball and “at home” will be held at the Trotting Pavilioti, Victoria Park. When each woman visitor reached her hotel yesterday, she was greeted with a posy of flowers inscribed. — “Welcome to Greymouth.”
