WHY HAVE R.A.F. MEN “BROWNED OFF” ?
(Rec. 9.50) LONDON, Feb. 22 Psychologists have been carrying out a full-scale inquiry into the state of the Royal Air Force morale, says the “Daily Express.” Their- report, which was ordered eight months ago, fololwing on reports of a serious decline in efficiency and the discipline in the R.A F. units, will be presented to Cabinet shortly. The recommendations are believed to include increases in pay and allowances, improvements in accommodation, and an increase in the number of operation exercises. A team of psychologists interviewed hundreds of men to discover why they were “browned off” and they asked the wives of officers and of men living in station quarters their opinion of R.A.F. life.
