SCIENCE CONGRESS AT CHRISTCHURCH
CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 16
The seventh Pacific Science Congress began its second session in Christchurch this morning after a civic . welcome. The congress considered the reports of the research plan committees and then split up into various specialised divisions. The delegates explained that, apart from’ attending the sessions of the congress, they were making use of their visit to New Zealand to familiar themselves with developments in their respective sciences. They were exchanging information with New Zealanders about problems here and it was felt that this inter-change of information would prove most valuable.
