OBITUARY Mrs. E. J. Merewether
A well-known and highly respected resident of the West Coast died at the Westland Hospital on Tuesday evening, in the person of Mrs Edith Jane Merewether, wife of Mr John Merewether of Piper’s Flat. Stafford. Born 75 years ago at Piper’s Flat the late Mrs Merewether had been in ill health for some time. Besides her husband she leaves one daughter, Mrs H. Steele (Goldsborough), three sons John (Hokitika). William Stafford), and Edwin (Arahura). The funeral takes place at Stafford this afternoon at 2.30 o’clock.
