When in Wellington recently, Mr J.' B. Kent. M.P., made further representations to the Minister in charge of the Police Department,’the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, asking that the erection of a new notice station in Greymouth be expedited. Mr Fraser has now advised Mr Kent, as follows: — •Tn reply, I have to inform you that the sketch plans for the new building, which are being prepared by the Government architect’s office arc nearing completion, and when these come to hand, they will be submitted to the Building Controller for his authority to have, the working drawings and specifications prepared to enablp tenders to be called for the work. The matter will foe attended t 0 with as little delay as possible.A recent change in the proposed site for the notice station has necessitated a complete revision of the plans.” ■
