U.S. Army Plane Crash Kills Five Officers

OTTAWA, May 20. An American Army aircraft, en route from Wright Field, Dayton, Ohio, to Michigan, crashed near Windsor, Ontario, late last night, killing all five officers aboard. They were travelling to make advance preparations for air shows throughout America to acquaint the public with Army Air Force research and development. The crash shook a nearby house so badly that the occupants thought the plane had crashed on the roof. The first reports from the scene say that the bodies were scattered in all directions, and parts of a sixth have been discovered, indicating that the aircraft struck someone as it plunged into the ground.
