“Unofficial” Strikes in Britain for What Object?
LONDON, May 19. Unofficial strikes were bringing discredit on the union movement, said Mr George Isaacs, Minister of Laboui' to, representatives of 37 trade unions with a membership of 2,250,000. “Such strikes do not hurt the boss, but affect the community, punishing women and children. Trying to win strikes against your officials is not trade unionism, as we know it. There must be evil machinations at work that say ‘to hell’ with the officials.”
