Ban on Dutch Ships By Australian Workers
BATAVIA, May 18. The Indonesian Trade Union Congress to-day passed a resolution asking for a continuance of the Australian workers’ ban on Dutcl. ships. The resolution said that while the Dutch blockade of the Indonesian Republic remained a reality there was no reason why the boycott should be lifted. The Congress also decided to appeal to the World Federation of Trade Unions for help to secure the withdrawal of Dutch troops in Indonesia.
It was agreed to support the Republican Government’s policy in signing the Cheribon Agreement.. It was decided to ask Dutch trade unions to do all they could to prevent mom Dutch troops coming from Holland, and to obtain withdrawal of those in Indonesia.
