DIVISION OF INDIA BEING ACCEPTED BY THE FACTIONS
(Rec. 6.30) LONDON, May 19. The Times Delhi correspondent says: Viscount Mountbatten ,in the 48 hours before departure for England, met leaders of the Congress Party, Moslem League and the Sikhs in rapid succession in an endeavour to obtain assent to details of a plan the broad outlines of which are already before the British Government. It is believed that the Vicroy, in a large measure, was successful in narrowing differences between Congress and Moslem League leaders on specific issues arising from the proposed partition of India, including the partition of the Punjab and of Bengal, to which both parties apparently have resigned themselves.
