•SYDNEY, May 1. A Royal Commission has been issued to Judge Kirby, of the District Court, to inquire into allegations which were made at the Police Association conference on April 16. The commission has been approved and confirmed by the Executive Council, and will inquire into the report on allegations by Sergeant A. J. Keogh that his transfer from Peak Hill to Bathurst was ordered at the instance of bodies connected with the running of a carnival because he had refused to permit or ignore breaches of the law in connection with the carnival.
