N.Z. Bakers Move to Raise Prices of Cakes and Other Foods

P.A. WELLINGTON, May 2. An application has been made by the Master Bakers’ Association for an increase in the price to be charged for cakes and for other goods made with sugar. This was stated to-day by a representative of the Association. The application was made on Thursday, April 24, but no developments were expected before the end of next week, he said. A representative of the Price Tribunal said to-day that no increase in the price had been authorised.
