WANGANELLA DISPUTE TRIBUNAL ACCEPTED BY THE EMPLOYERS

P.A. WELLINGTON, April 16. Acceptance of a Government tribunal, established under the Strikes and Lock-outs Emergency Regulations, to assess the merit of special payments claimed for shore workers engaged on repairing, the Wanganella was advised by the New Zealand Employers’ Federation in a letter sent this afternoon to the Director of Employment and Labour, Mr Beckett. The employers’ representatives will be Mr James Cable (managing director of the repair contractors, William Cable and Coy., Ltd.), Mr K. A. Belford (Union Steam Ship Company), and Mr C. G. Camp (managing secretary of the Employers’ Federation).
