DUTCH POLICY

TOWARDS INDONESIA. BATAVIA, Aug. 22. Dutch policy towards the Netherlands East Indies would not change after the withdrawal of Anglo-Hnj-dian troops, said Mr. Van Mook. The Netherlands, had not the slightest intention of restoring anything like a colonial system towards Indonesia. On the contrary, he thought the country should become a self-govern-ing nation as quickly as possible. Mr. Van Mook added he was convinced that the best way of effecting this reorganisation, was for Indonesia to start within the Netherlands kingdom.
