FAREWELL CONCERT
The big attendance of parishioners from all parts of the Buller district at the farewell function held in honour of Rev. Father Kirby in St. Canice’s Club Rooms, Westport, was striking testimony to the great popularity of this priest, who, after serving as curate at Westport for three years leaves to take up the position of assistant priest' at Reef ton. All sections of the parish were represented at this gathering, including many people from Granity. The hall was tastefully decorated for the occasion, the greenery and beautiful flowers on the stage being most striking. Mr. R. Annibal was master of ceremonies and led community singing prior to the stait of a most enjoyable concert programme.
