[Our Own Correspondent] HOKITIKA, March 19. The Hon. C. F. Skinner and partyreturned on Sunday afternoon from South Westland, where the Minister received deputations at almost every stopping place. He was extremely pleased with South Westland and its possibilities of expansion. The party later proceeded on to Greymouth. Blackberry pickers report that, although there are large crops in almost every .district, recent wet weather ruined much of the fruit, making it difficult to pick and mushy, and it is showing signs of rot.
