“MOTHER GOOSE” PROFIT.”
The balance sheet for the “Mother Goose” pantomime held recently at the Regent Theatre, was presented at an executive meeting of +he Grey Returned Services Association on Monday evening, when there were present: Messrs O. McLean (Chairman), J. Crooks, J. Smith, J. Fairman, E. Fraser, J. Knight, G. Batty, J. Stokes, W. Green, G. G. M. Mitchell, A N. Campbell, E. F. Chivers and T. P. Ryan (Secretary). The balance-sheet stated:—Expenses: Hall hire (Regent Theatre) £250, sundry expenses £331 7s Id; total £5Bl 7s Id. Receipts, £9Bl 10s. Profit. £4OO 2s lid.
It was decided to send letters of appreciation to Mr. E. Martin for his effort in making £465 for the Asso Nation in the .'space of three month®; to the Grey Fire Brigade for the use of their room during the pantomime; and to Mrs. McGlashan for providing a free ’bus for transport of pantomime cast to and from the Fire Brigade Station. It was decided to send a letter of thanks to the Lake Brunner Sub-As-socihtion for a grant of £5 to the hospital cheer fund.
Mr. Crooks was appointed delegate to the Dominion Conference of thf Association in Wellington next week
