S.I. LOCAL BODIES

REGIONAL LEAGUES PROPOSED The formation of a number of regional leagues, similar to that now operating in Nelson, Marlborough and West Coast districts, each regional league to .affiliate with a central body to be known as the South Island Federation of Local Bodies, was a proposal adopted by the annual meeting of the Nelson, Marlborough & West Coast league of local bodies. That decision resulted from a discussion on the question of contributions to the funds of the South Island local bodies organisation, which was formed at a conference held in Christchurch. It is suggested that regional leagues would appoint delegates to the Federation.
