HON. C. F. SKINNER
TO BE MINISTER OF LANDS WELLINGTON, Nov. 29. The appointment of Mr Skinner, Minister-in-Charge of Rehabilitation, to be Minister of Lands, was announced to-day by the Deputy Prime Minister (Mr Nash). “Mr Skinner not only possesses the right qualities for handling this important portfolio,” said Mr Nash, “but he is also in a position as Minister of Rehabilitation, and from his own personal knowledge, to understand the needs of servicemen in respect to land settlement. I have no doubt he will prove a worthy successor to the many able men who over the years have held the Lands portfolio, ' and whose work has so profoundly influenced the history of the Dominion.”
