REEFTON NOTES

(Our Own Correspondent.) REEFTON, May 11. Mrs Prior, Senr., has been called away to Timaru owing to the illness of her mother. Private D. Scott arrived home on leave yesterday, which he will spend with his people, Mr and Mrs Dave Scott. , Miss D, Wilson who has been away for some time receiving medical treatment, has returned home. Private D. Robbins is spending a period of leave with his brother, Mr HoySister Quinn of the Reefton Hospital staff, leaves for Auckland on holiday, prior to taking special training in Christchurch. She will return later to the local hospital. Seaman R. Bolitho, of the Royal Navy, is visiting his mother at Crushington. The engagement is announced of Gordon Angelo, youngest son of Mr and the late Mrs F. Bonifacio, Reefton, to Daphne Holdsworth, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Rutledge, Tennyson Street/ Beckenham, Christchurch.

Mr Ted Burns, who suffered a broken leg a few months ago, left by the rail-car on Monday evening for the Greymouth Hospital, to undergo electric massage treatment. Miss E. Wicken arrived home from Dunedin to-day. Mrs A. Finlayson and son, and Miss Perry, who have been in Nelson for an extended holiday, have returned home.
