TO WORK IN GERMANY (Rec. 12.10) ZURICH, March 24 Onlv a small minority) of French patriots who fled to the mountains of Haute Savoie have surrendered. The majority are still holding out. Many are reported to have reached the foothills by lorry, which suggests various French political groups are supporting the movement. Some young Frenchmen are deliberately injuring themselves in order to avoid offing to Germany as labour conscripts. One cut off several lingers. Another threw himself from the root of a house, breaking his ankle. ■ A building at Lyons wherein the Germans housed war materials awaiting despatch was completely destroyed by a time bomb.
