UNFIT RETURNED MEN PA. WELLINGTON, Jan. 21. An undertaking was given some time thftt men who had served overseas and were unlikely to a £ a T become fit for active service would be discharged from the forces to the reserve. This undertaking is covered bv an amendment to the National Service Emergency Regulations gazetted to-mght. In the past the Ad-jutant-General has had autnority to discharge only those returned soldiers who were graded as permanently unlit The amendments gives him power to grant discharges to men who have served overseas in the present war and who have been returned to New Zealand and are unlikely to become fit for further active service. This will have the effect or facilitating the rehabilitation of such men.
