MARKET GARDENS
REGISTRATION BILL. CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 25. If time permits in the short, silting of Parliament next week, a Bill providing for the registration of market gardners will be introduced. The' measure is in the hands of the Minister of Agriculture (the Hon. J. G. Barclay) and when he was questioned he said he could not say definitely at this stage that the Bill would be introduced. Registration authority has been sought for some time by" market gardners throughout the Dominion. Some requests have also been made that market gardening should be declared an essential industry, and it is expected that the declaration will follow the passing of the Bill.
