GREY RAILWAYMEN WIN SHIELD. CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 22. Yesterday forty firemen from West Coast fire brigades, including men from the Greymouth central sta tlol }> Greymouth railway, and the Cobden brigade took part in a fire brigade demonstration with the Addington Workshops brigade yesterday. The Shield was won by i railway with 13 points, Addington railway being second with 11-5 P°i™ Cobden third with 9 points and Greymouth Central fourth with points. „ Results were as follows:— Four men motor flag event —Greymouth Railway (time, 10 2-ssec) 1, Cobden A (time, 23 l-ssec) 2, Ad dington B (time, 24sec) 3. Two-men straight dry hose—Addington B (time, 28sec) 1; Greymouth Central (time, 28 4-ssec) 2, Addington A (time, 29 2-osec) 3. Three-men dry hose and standpipe Cobden.
