There were 130,000 opossum skins, chiefly from northern districts, of a quality averaging below last year, | offered at the final Dunedin sale this week, compared with last month’s sale, blues and blacks, about on a par; red, browns and red necks, par to 6d lower; dark browns, 6d to Is lower; greys and rustys 3d to 6d lower. Thirds, damaged, inferior, rough, stale, tanned, salted, and weevily skins were practically unsaleable. Blue sold to Ils each; greys to 8s 7d each; rustys to 7s; red necks to 7s 7d; browns to 5s lid and blacks to 4s 9d.
