RAID FURTHER NORTH
DUTCH OIL TANKS IN THE MOLUCCA ISLANDS (Special to N.Z. Press Assn.) (Rec. 11.10) SYDNEY, Oct. 7. After eleven days of purely reconnaissance activity. Australian Hudson bombers made a daylight rai( f on Boela, a former Dutch oilfield, on the north-eastern coast of Ceram, m Molucca Islands, west of Dutch New Guinea. Boela is mentioned, for the first time, in to-day’s communique from General MacArthui s head-
quarters. Oil tanks were destroyed tnere by the Dutch after Japan entered the war, but the tanks have presumably been now repaired by the enemy where the target of the attack is located. Near misses were scored at a low level, and it is believed utat'certain tanks were damaged.
