B.H.P. PROFITS. | SYDNEY. July 27. j The Broken Hill Proprietary Company. Ltd., has announced a net profit for the year ended May 31 of £963 279. which is £15,859 less than in the previous year. The company has allowed , £1,050,000 for taxation, £996.881 for depreciation, and £456,330 for special depreciation of plant connected with war-time activities. Shareholders received a dividend of 7 A per cent. . WELLINGTON, Julv 27. I The Reserve Bank of New Zealand has announced that the minimum rate at which it is prepared to dis-
count or rediscount bills, will be reduced to 1J per cent, from to-mor-row.
