Beard and famiij', who have been visiting Ciiristcnurch, have returned. ivir Fat Downes, a former wellknown resident, is spending a lew days m the township Mr Vv. Banks, who has been visiting Christchuich, has returned. Private Hector Ciark, whu name appears in the latest list of missing, was a tormer wei.-known an.popular resident of Waiuta. Mr R. Curnow, who ha? been residing at Ranturiv tor some month-, has taken up his i evidence in the township. Grew Valiev League football, team (22) defeated Waiuta (15) at Ikamatua last Sunday The lixAire for thjo week-end is Waiatah v. Waiuta at' Waiuta, where a good game -should eventuate.
Mr M. McGifford (Postmaster, uf Blackball) paid a brief v.sit to Waiuta last week.
