Ther e were thousands of deserving cases, but they had neyer asj<ed for donations. Mr Mulcare: They didn’t know about it. Mr Kent: They will now.

Mr Smeaton said that theyCountv Council couldj supply the light by paying £4 per annum fo” it. _ If a light were given a<s a donation to on e local body, other bodies would have to b P treated the same. The chairman sa’d that that instance had been different. Mr Mulcare: I know it was different However. I do not want to argue about it. If th P Board does not want to rngke a donation of a light, the County Council', even for the sake of the school, will not make a fresh account, or alter the previous arrangements. If the Board ’s not prepared to do anything in the matter, the Council is not. Mr Smeaton moved that the letter he received, and that no action be taken. ~ Mr Kent seconded the motion.
