The annual knock-out tournament was held on Saturday, and resulted in a win for Paroa A, who played particularly well throughout. Detailed results were:— United 8, Technical B 4. The selectors (Mrs I. Manning, Miss M. E. Ray, and Mr R. J. Armstrong) have chosen the following team to represent West Coast against Reefton next Saturday:— Forwards.—C. Bruhn (Paroa), G. Millar (Tech. 0.G.), E. Hopkinson (Runanga). . Centres.—J. Tyson (R.), P. Wingham (Convent 0.G.), M.’ Coll (St. Mary’s). Defendents.—M. Close (Con. O.G.\ J. Griffiths (T.0.G.), P. McGrath (C.0.G.).
Emergency.—A. Tindale (United). L. Henderson, L. Bruhn, and I. Dunn were not available. It is essential that both West Coast A and B teams attend practice tomorrow at the Drill Hall at 8 p.m. Fixtures for Schools’ Grade games will be the same as for last Wednesday.
